Each year Shawnee Game Conference holds a Game Design Competition for Shawnee students.
Shawnee Student Research Experience fund is providing $1000.00 grant for the 1st place project. The monies were donated to SSU’s Development Foundation collected during the 2005 President’s Gala.
All SGC 2019 student exhibitors will be considered part of a preliminary round of judging during the game expo on Nov 15th. Several projects will then be selected to pitch their project the following day Nov 16th in front of a panel of industry leaders.
Competition Guidelines
Registered for a student booth at SGC 2019.
Must have a working prototype of any level.
Have a 15-minute pitch prepared.
Includes setup and Q&A time.
Hard cut off on time.
Min 5-minutes of Q&A time.
Prototype must work during presentation.
Presentation Guidelines
Short pitch for your game.
Explain the mechanics and what the player does.
What is your hook?
What software/hardware to you plan on utilizing?
If awarded the funds, what are your plans to advance your project?
