Dr. Patricia R. Todd, Professor, Western Kentucky University Education: D.B.A., Marketing, Cleveland State University Areas of Expertise: Marketing Management/Strategy, Online Consumer Engagement, Virtual Environments, and Esports Marketing She has a BA in Biology, a BA in Communications, an MBA in Marketing, and a DBA in Marketing. She joined the faculty in the Department of Marketing at Western Kentucky University in 2005. Her research has been published in top-tier journals including: The Journal of Business Research, European Management Journal, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Journal of Services Marketing, the International Marketing Review, the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, and Cyberpsychology, Behavior, & Social Networking. Her current research interests included strategic marketing with an emphasis on e-marketing, virtual communities, toxicity and gender issues in live broadcast channels, online consumer engagement, virtual brand identity and, esports branding. She has presented on panels on branding at Twitchcon, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. She initiated the formation of the WKU Varsity Esports program in 2016 and has been the faculty advisor since. She teaches Esports Marketing and Branding and Consumer Behavior. Most evenings she can be found in Azeroth as Pezza the shaman.
