Jose Araiza
Video Game Producer
With nearly three decades at the forefront of the video game industry, Jose Araiza has helped shape some of the most iconic experiences in gaming history. His journey began in 1996 at 989 Studios (a division of Sony Computer Entertainment America), cutting his teeth in Quality Assurance. He soon joined Verant Interactive, where he became part of the legendary team behind EverQuest, a groundbreaking title that redefined the possibilities of online gaming.
Jose’s career continued to evolve at Sony Online Entertainment, where he took on production roles that further cemented his dedication to the gaming experiences created. His passion and vision later took him to Ubisoft Montreal, where he served as a producer on multiple entries in the Assassin’s Creed franchise — most notably helping to conceive and lead the production of two years’ worth of post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Today, Jose is channeling his experience and entrepreneurial spirit into the startup world as part of the innovative team at Umanaia in Montreal. With a career spanning legendary MMOs to AAA blockbusters and now future-facing ventures, Jose continues to push the dream of what’s possible in interactive entertainment.
