Conner Rush
FOUNDER // FYRE Games
Conner Rush is a 24-year-old solo game developer from West Virginia and founder of the independent game studio FYRE Games. Since about the age of age of 10, Conner has had an acute fascination in game development and design, releasing his first project under the FYRE Games name, “Into the Unknown”, in 2016 at the age of 15. Since then Conner and FYRE Games have seen the release of 4 other solo-developed titles, with great critical successes such as “Summerland” and “We Never Left” (from Dread X Collection 5) as part of that roster.
Today, Conner Rush is in development of FYRE Games’ biggest release to date: “Project Songbird”, a psychological survival horror that takes place in the remote Appalachian forest. It will be releasing on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
As a recent WVU graduate, Conner is also a native to the Appalachian region. He grew up in the small town of Barrackville, WV, and hopes to trumpet the praises of the arts and sciences of the region.
Currently residing in the great Pittsburgh region, Conner has had the opportunity to work at both Dread XP and Schell Games, helping see to the development and release of game such as “My Friendly Neighborhood,” “Sucker for Love: Date to Die For,” “Dread Delusion,” and other unannounced AAA productions.
